Population and household census survey based on estimated population

This year, the Population and Household Census will be conducted in 18,132 plots based on the Yangon Region’s estimated population, the Yangon Region Census Enumeration Supervisory Committee Chairman, the Yangon Region Chief Minister said.
As mentioned at the meeting, the YR chief minister said to coordinate the work on the successful enumeration of population and household census held at the Yangon Region Government Office meeting hall on 11 January.
He said that the 2024 Population and Household Census are being conducted to confirm and publish Myanmar’s population statistics and to forecast future population and socio-economic data more accurately.
The census will be enumerated nationwide from 1 to 15 October 2024, and the 2024 census will be conducted through four processes: preparation, enumeration, listing, analysis, and reporting.
In Yangon Region, preparatory activities, basic area census, formation of census supervisory committee and different committee levels, mapping using GIS technology, formation of enumeration plots, and experimental census collection have been completed. — TWA/TKO
