In a bid to contain the spread of COVID-19, 52 Myanmar fishers who signed off on 1 July in China are now staying self-isolated at a quarantined hotel for two weeks in Kawthoung.
Those fishermen have accomplished their jobs in Han Rong 368 fishing vessel from China and disembarked in Kawthoung city on 1 July.
The fishers are spending mandatory hotel quarantine in Kawthoung city, under the medical care of Kawthoung Township Public Health Department.
The coronavirus cases are resurging these days in Kawthoung. Some fishers have been previously tested for COVID-19.
Thus, the health officials and the township organizations are taking strict containment measures. — Kyaw Soe (Kawthoung)/GNLM
