The second day of the 58th Myanma Gems Emporium continued yesterday at Maniradana Jade Hall in Nay Pyi Taw.
Foreign and local jewellers observed pearls, jewels and jade lots on display at the event.
They inspected pearls from Lot 1 to 150 for sale at the emporium and placed bids inside the tender boxes.
The tender proposals for pearl lots No 1 to 150 were opened, and officials announced a total of 147 lots were auctioned.
On the third day, pearls from Lot 151 to 295 will be sold to international and domestic gem merchants through the open tender system. — Aye Aye Thant/KZW
