5th Congress of WCCJ, joint conference between AACC and CCJA held

Myanmar delegation takes part in the AACC-CCJA joint conference virtually.

The joint conference between the Association of Asian Constitutional Courts and Equivalent Institutions (AACC) and the Constitutional Jurisdictions of Africa (CCJA) commenced on 4 October, and the delegation led by U Khin Maung Oo, a member of the Constitutional Court of the Union, attended the event online.
The theme of the joint conference was “Promoting Asian-African Cooperation for the Protection of People’s Fundamental Rights” and it was participated by chief justices, presidents and judges of constitutional courts, tribunals and councils from 16 AACC member countries and 29 CCJA member countries. Legal experts from AACC and CCJA member countries read their papers and shared their experiences and knowledge.
Similarly, the Myanmar delegation participated in the 5th Congress of the World Conference on Constitutional Justice (WCCJ) virtually, which was held on 5-6 October. Chief justices, presidents, judges and invited international legal experts of constitutional courts, tribunals and councils from 98 WCCJ member countries exchanged their expertise at the congress held under the theme of “Constitutional Justice and Peace”. — MNA
