MoL Deputy Minister meets Thai Labour Minister

The delegation led by Deputy Minister for Labour U Win Shein met Thailand Labour Minister Mr Suchart Chomklin and officials in Bangkok, Thailand, yesterday morning.
During the meeting, the deputy minister thanked the Thai Employment Department for the invitation to inspect the opening of CJ extension camps in Thailand based on the request of the Thai Labour Minister to issue certificates of identity (CIs) to Myanmar migrant workers in Thailand.
The deputy minister said that the directors-general of the two countries would discuss the details of the process of issuing new CIs, as requested by the Thailand Labour Minister.
He also expressed his belief that the two countries’ cooperation in labour affairs would have positive results.
A total of 56,237 Myanmar workers left for Thailand to seek jobs under the MoU system during the period from 10 May to 29 September, it is reported. – MNA
