The Director-General of the Rural Development Department, the focal department for Mekong-Lancang poverty reduction, and officials attended the 6th meeting of Joint Working Group (JWG) for Mekong-Lancang Cooperation (LMC) on Poverty Reduction in Thailand held with a virtual conference system.
Director-General Mr Xin Jiamin of NRRA of the People’s Republic of China and the Deputy Director-General of the Community Development Department of Thai delivered opening speeches.
Afterwards, U Thein Lwin, Director-General of the Rural Development Department, the focal department for Mekong-Lancang poverty reduction, and officials exchanged ideas and experiences on poverty alleviation and rural development, implementation of the five-year plan (2018-2022) for the poverty reduction sector of Mekong-Lancang Cooperation, and the plans for the 2023-2027 plan.
The Director-General of the NRRA of the People’s Republic of China and officials of the Mekong-Lancang Poverty Reduction Joint Working Group-JWG attended the meeting. — MNA
