76th Anniversary of Kachin State Day convened

The ceremony for the 76th Anniversary of Kachin State Day was organized on the lawn in front of the Kachin State government office in Myitkyina yesterday.
At the event, State Administration Council Member Deputy Prime Minister Union Minister for Defence Admiral Tin Aung San read out the message sent by State Administration Council Chairman Prime Minister of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar Senior General Thadoe Maha Thray Sithu Thadoe Thiri Thudhamma Min Aung Hlaing to the occasion of the 76th Anniversary of Kachin State.
Kachin State Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan then made a greeting speech.
Union Minister for Border Affairs Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung handed over 150 sets of 120-watt solar home system units for the state, and Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn presented five sets MRTV DTDs, 50 DVB T2 set-top boxes, five MRTV DTDs and 50 DVB T2 set-top boxes to the relevant state officials.
SAC members, Union ministers, relevant officials and participants joyfully participated in the closing ceremony with the Manaw dance at the same venue.
At noon, the Deputy Prime Minster and party attended the honorary certificate and award-giving ceremony to commemorate the 76th Anniversary of Kachin State Day.
They also met Christian religious leaders at the Kachin State government office.
At the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister highlighted the role of unity despite the different religions in Kachin State and provided K1 million each to six Christiaity leaders.
The Deputy Prime Minister and party then joined the honorary dinner to mark the 76th Anniversary of Kachin State Day on the same evening.
They also enjoyed the performance of traditional ethnic dance troupes and gave cash prizes to the performers. — MNA/KTZH
