MoC holds first coordination meeting on future work plans

The Ministry of Construction organized the first coordination meeting on its works and policies yesterday.
During the meeting, Union Minister U Shwe Lay discussed the effective work plans and objectives of the ministry to conduct in line with the instructions of State Administration Council-led government and current COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment activities.
The Union Minister also stressed the need to implement the projects in line with the law and regulations as the current road/bridge constructions and projects with private sectors will be permitted in accordance with the policies and procedures.
He also said the department needs to adopt the financial procedures, rules and regulations and laws in auditing sectors.
The directors of region/state departments need to accelerate the momentum to implement the works and to submit their difficulties in a timely manner not to occur delays in state-level projects and other projects jointly conducted by international countries.
Then, the Directors-General of relevant departments made powerpoint presentations regarding their completed works and ongoing plans while the Directors of region/state departments briefed their performance and future work plans.
