Throne sections of Bhumi Phassa Mudra sitting Buddha brought to Nay Pyi Taw

The statue of the Bhumi Phassa Mudra sitting Buddha and the pieces of throne have been transported from Semikhone port to Nay Pyi Taw Council Territory, and the second section and the pair of the throne were brought to the designated place on 13 March.

Sayadaws and monks, along with State Central Working Committee of the Sangha Aungsithar Sayadaw Agga Maha Pandita, Bhaddanta Wiskkhana, Lt-Gen Kyaw Swar Lin, Lt Gen Kan Myint Than from the office of the Commander-in-Chief and military officials and invited guests attended the ceremony for conveying the throne of the Buddha statue.

The weights of the second section and the pair of the throne were 655 tonnes and 315 tonnes respectively, and the remaining parts will be brought as planned. —MNA
