ONE Championship: Moraes retains Flyweight title with win over Johnson

Adriano Moraes (alias) “Mikinho” retained his Flyweight World title after beating Demetrious Johnson (alias) “Mighty Mouse” via knockout at 2:24 minutes of round two in the Flyweight World Championship of ONE Championship TNT event, which was held yesterday at Singapore Indoor Stadium, Singapore.
Both men played energetically from the start with super punches plus low kicks.
The first round was just finished with equal fights as Moraes’ kicks, and chokes could not control all the strikes of Johnson.
But the answer to the game could be seen in the second round following a big mistake of Johnson and that mistake made him falling down onto the floor, and his opponent Moraes managed to seal the victory with vigorous strikes.
“This is a dream come true. I’m really working hard every single day. I don’t have the words to describe this moment. We did it,” Adriano Moraes said in his post-fight interview with ONE Championship.
“It’s not a surprise for me because I’ve been working with the best guys in the world. I’m not the best. I’m just different. Today, it worked out. I’m so happy”, he added.
