Union Minister for Border Affairs Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung inspected the Rakhine State development supervisory office, together with State Administration Council member Colonel Min Than, Director-General U Sai Tun Nyo for Progress of Border Areas and National Races Department and other officials on 8 April.
During the inspection, Rakhine State’s development supervisor presented the border area development programmes of Rakhine State, and the Union Minister gave the necessary instructions. Then, the Union Minister and party visited Training School for Development of Nationalities Youth from Border Areas (Sittway). The deputy director of the state administration office presented the preparations for reopening training schools and women’s vocational training schools.
The Union Minister and party also met the MraukU District development supervisory office staff and coordinated the necessary matters.
Moreover, the Union Minister visited An Township development supervisory office and met the staff and demonstrators of women’s vocational training school on 9 April. The Union Minister then went to the Kyaukpyu District development supervisory office and met the staff and demonstrators of the mechanical school (Kyaukpyu), and he inspected the school compound.
During his visit, the Union Minister provided cash assistance and uniforms to the staff and demonstrators and gave instructions to serve the duties according to the Civil Service Law and teach the trainees regarding the belief and stances apart from the subjects. —MNA
