Myanmar Competition Commission holds 1/2021 meeting

The Ministry of Commerce hosted the 1/2021 meeting of the Myanmar Competition Commission via videoconferencing yesterday.
Union Minister Dr Pwint San, in his capacity as chairman of the commission, said the Competition Law was enacted in 2015 in order to protect the businesses for the development of the State economy and foreign investment.
The law supports the local and foreign trade, economic and investment development, and sustainable development of the country.
The Union Minister then highlighted the performance of commission for businesses and urged the attendees, including the representatives of ministry, organizations, and NGOs, to discuss their difficulties.
The meeting also discussed the work plans being implemented based on the decisions of the 2/2020 meeting, complaint settlement programmes, and cooperation works with the partner organizations.—MNA
