The Tatmadaw members from the Central Command visited the farms of local farmers in the villages in Myittha Township, Mandalay Region. They bought 30,755 visses of onion at a price that local farmers could sell yesterday.
Regional Tatmadaw members have been buying farmers’ crops at a price that they could sell. The COVID-19 outbreak has disrupted transport and make it difficult for local farmers to sell their crops and causing damage to crops.
It is reported that they will continue to buy the seasonal crops depending on the difficulties of the local farmers.—MNA
