Myanmar chairs 2nd regional workshop on reviewing and updating ASEAN CCSTP

The 2nd Regional Workshop on Reviewing and Updating the ASEAN Common Competency Standards for Tourism Professionals-ACCSTP was chaired by the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism through videoconferencing on 29 and 30 June.
The meeting was attended by members and chairperson of the ASEAN Tourism Professional Monitoring Committee-ATPMC, members of each ASEAN member country’s National Tourism Professional Board- NTPB, Tourism Professional Certification Board-TPCB, experts from private hotels and tourism sector, officials from the Office of the ASEAN Secretary-General and related ministries.
The Director-General of the Hotels and Tourism Department addressed the meeting touching on the ACCSTP review progress and update process.
At the workshop, the participants actively discussed the core and generic competencies for hotel reception, housekeeping, food manufacturing for the hotel sector, and core and generic competencies and functional competencies for travel agencies and the tourism sector. — MNA
