One man killed while planting homemade mine on public road in Myingyan

A man was killed while planting a homemade mine on Bogyoke road in Myingyan Township, Mandalay Region yesterday morning.
Win Kyaw Kyaw and a man were planting two homemade mines connected to keypad phones and Win Kyaw Kyaw was killed at the scene when one of the mines exploded. The body was left on a street near his house by a man.
According to the report, security forces went to the scene and found the planted homemade mine which was later deactivated by them.
Similarly, two men were found with wounds in the face, neck, chest and arms during the investigation of an explosion in the Industrial Zone Ward in Monywa yesterday morning. It was reported that they were wounded due to an explosion during making homemade bombs in the “Moe Kaung Kin” Lathe workshop in the same ward.
Although the owner of the workshop was not found, related items used in the terrorist attack were found and confiscated from the workshop.
The wounded persons were taken to a nearby hospital for medical treatment and security forces are still working to identify and arrest their accomplices. — MNA
