K18 billion worth of Ice, Ketamine drugs seized in Amarapura Township

A total of K18 billion worth of Methamphetamine (Ice) and Ketamine drugs were seized in Amarapura Township, Mandalay Region, according to the Myanmar Police Force.
A combine team of members of the Anti-Drug Task Force inspected a 12-wheeled Fuso container truck driven by Phyo Min Thu, 33-year-old and Zaw Htwe, 38-year-old on board on the 62nd Street, Swe Taw Highway Bus Terminal, Amarapura Township at 8:30 pm on 29 September.
A search of the container vehicle turned up 800 kilogrammes of ice (Methamphetamine), plus 200 kilogrammes of Ketamine valued at K18 billion.
According to the investigation, drugs were transported from Hsipaw Township, northern Shan State to Amarapura Township, Mandalay Region. The two suspects are charged under the Law and investigations are underway to capture the rest of the suspects, Myanmar Police Force said. — MNA
