Travellers allowed visiting Kanbawzathadi palace starting from 10 November

The travellers are allowed to visit Kanbawzathadi palace, which has a lot of historical heritage to explore in the Bago region, starting from 10 November following the COVID-19 rules and regulations.
Kanbawzathadi Golden Palace used to have 9 Royal Thrones which was decorated with a different motif and used for different occasions. Kanbawzathadi palace is 67.295 acres wide and it is open daily from 9 am to 4:30 pm. The museums and pavilions inside the palace are open except Monday and public holidays.
Starting from 1 January 2022, admission to the palace is K 500 for children and K1,000 for adults. Earlier, the entrance fees were K300 for children and K500 for adults.
The Kanbawazthadi palace was closed on 23 March 2020 due to the COVID-19 outbreak. All travellers must wear masks, use hand gels and undergo body temperature checks. They must also keep social distance from each other, it is learnt.
The Kanbawazthadi golden palace was built by King Bayinnaung in 1553 and it was looted and burnt down in 1599 during armed conflict. During excavations, several 176 teak pillars were found, 136 of which are inscribed in the Mon language with the names of towns, regions and people who donated them.— Min Ye Mann/GNLM
