Timor-Leste relegated to Group A due to Brunei withdrawal from Suzuki Cup

As Brunei withdrew from the 2020 ASEAN Suzuki Cup at the end of this year, Timor-Leste won the tournament and was relegated to Group A, which includes Myanmar.
The Suzuki Cup kicks off on 1 December with a match between Brunei and Timor-Leste, but Brunei has resigned.
Timor-Leste qualified for the finals without having to play a football match.
According to the final group draw, Timor-Leste will be relegated to Group A and the team is falling in the same group with Myanmar, the Philippines, Thailand and Singapore.
Meanwhile, defending champions Vietnam; Malaysia Indonesia Cambodia and Laos are participating in Group B.
Brunei has announced that they have resigned due to the COVID-19 epidemic condition.
The 2020 ASEAN Suzuki Cup, which has been postponed due to an epidemic, will be held in Singapore from 5 December 2021 to 1 January 2022.—Ko Nyi Lay/GNLM
