Judgements given on 2 special criminal appeals, 5 special civil appeals; 5 cases heard

A special appeal tribunal, consisting of Union Chief Justice U Htun Htun Oo and Judges of the Supreme Court of the Union U Myo Maung, U Khin Maung Gyi, U Tin Hone, and Daw Khin May Yi, was convened yesterday morning at the Supreme Court of the Union and passed the judgements on two special criminal appeals, No. 5/2021 (Mon)and 6/2021 (Taninthayi), and five special civil appeals, No. 89/2019 (Mon), 96/2019 (Mandalay), 97/2019 (Mandalay), 8/2020 (Yangon) and 11/2020 (Magway).
In addition, a total of five special civil appeals, special appeal No. 14/2020 (Magway), 16/2020 (Mandalay), 20/2020 (Mandalay), 21/2020 (Mon) and 23/2020 (Shan), were heard under the COVID-19 prevention and control guidelines. — MNA
