Over K310 millions of opium seized in Kywetetson Village of Thazi Township

354 kilogrammes of opium was seized in Thazi Township of Mandalay Region.

More than K310 millions worth of opium were seized in Kywetetson village, Thazi Township, according to the Myanmar Police Force.
A combined team consisting of members of the Anti-Drug Task Force arrived at Thazi Township at 12 mid-night on 22 December.
A 12-wheeled FUSO driven by Saw Thura Aung from Kalaw to Thazi was reportedly searched at the combined checkpoint in Kywetetson Village on Kalaw-Thazi Road. A total of 354 kilogrammes of opium worth over K310 millions were confiscated from the vehicle.
According to the investigation, the seized opium was transported from Shan State (South) to Mandalay Region.
He is taken action and the perpetrators are still being investigated, according to the officials. — MNA
