Illegal drugs seized in Taninthayi region, Shan state

A combined team of anti-drug police confiscated 28,000 stimulant tablets on 17 and 18 January in Taninthayi Region and Shan State.
On 17 January, the police searched the motorbike ridden by Nay Myo Aung and Htet Zaw Tun and found 6,000 stimulant tablets.
On 18 January, 4,000 stimulant tablets were confiscated from the motorbike ridden by Lwin Myo and Ye Htut Aung. On the same day, 18,000 stimulant tablets were found and confiscated from the motorbike ridden by Lin Wai Oo on the Hopong-Loilem Road near Lwaiwotote Village in Hopong Township.
The arrested suspects have been taken action under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law, according to the Myanmar Police Force. — MNA
