Illegal drugs captured in some townships

At 3:00 pm on 19 April, the anti-narcotics squad raided a home in Wamsaukkhon (Arkha) Village in Tachilek Township, and found 6,000 stimulant tablets. Similarly, at 5:00 pm on the same day, a combined team searched another house in the same township, and found 2,000 stimulant tablets. At 1 pm on 20 April, the team searched Ma Mie Chu’s home in Wamgoung Ward, Tachilek, and found 6,200 stimulant tablets.
In addition, at 2:00 pm on 19 April, a combined team searched a motorcycle driven by Wu Bao Chou (aka) Sein Naing Win near Khashi Village, Lashio Township and seized 200,000 stimulant tablets. Action was taken against offenders under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law. — MNA/TKO
