Officials welcome back Myanmar returnees at various borders

Myanmar nationals from abroad are welcomed back at various border crossings this month. On 7 February, a total of 200 returnees — 117 males and 83 females — came back home through Myawady, Kayin State. Healthcare officials from relevant public hospitals and members of the Tatmadaw Medical Corps conducted COVID-19 tests and provided quarantine entry documents for the returnees. Next, instructions of the Ministry of Health were explained systematically and departmental officials provided necessary assistance. The township administration then escorted them to their respective places in passenger vehicles, and the infected people were confined to separate places to facilitate necessary medical and administrative matters, officials said. — MNA
