Lot drawing for 2023 AFC Asian Cup group stage to be held on 24 Feb

The lot drawing event for the 2023 Asian Cup Third Round qualifiers in which Myanmar national football team participating will be held on 24 February.
A total of 24 teams will compete in the third round, which will be divided into four groups of six.
The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has allowed some teams to qualify for the 2022 World Cup Asia Zone 3 after the second round, which ended in mid-2021, without having to advance to the third round of the AFC Asian Cup.
Twenty-four teams, including Myanmar, will compete in the third round of the AFC Asian Cup, with the top six teams from six groups and the top five runners-up for a total of 11 teams will advance to the next stage.
Hosts are automatically allowed to play in the tourney without having to compete in the third round qualifiers.
Myanmar is falling in the Pot3 of the drawing lots together with Afghanistan, Yemen, and Malaysia.
The third round matches will be played on 8, 11 and 14 June in a one-round format. — Ko Nyi Lay/GNLM
