MoSWRR Union Minister gives instructions regarding Severe Cyclonic Storm Asani at Emergency Operation Centre

The MoSWRR Union Minister inspects the work procedures at the Emergency Operation Centre.

Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr Thet Thet Khine inspected the work procedures of the Emergency Operation Centre of the Department of Disaster Management yesterday.
During the visit, she mainly examined the announcement of the Department of Meteorology and Hydrology and disaster management activities through continuous access to the world meteorological websites.
The Union minister talked about the preventive measures for a severe cyclonic storm Asani and timely report to National Disaster Management Committee Chairman and regions/states officials.
At noon, the Union Minister and party attended the launching ceremony of Disability Classification and Implementation of the Disability Registration Pilot Project.
The pilot project for disability classification and registration is conducted by the Ministry of Home Affairs, General Administration Department, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement, Myanmar Federation of Persons with Disability (acting central executive committee), organizations of disabled people and welfare organizations and will be implemented in Pobbathiri Township of Nay Pyi Taw, Hlinethaya Township of Yangon Region, Nyaunglebin Township of Bago Region and Hpa-an Township of Kayin State. — MNA
