Myanmar Wushu team wins one gold, two silvers, two bronzes in SEA Games

The last day of the SEA Games’ Wushu competition was held on 15 May with team Myanmar winning one gold medal.
On the last day of the competition, the Myanmar Wushu team further won one gold, one silver and one bronze medal.
The SEA Games’ Wushu Championships were held for three days from 13 to 15 May.
Myanmar team missed medals in the first day competition but won one silver medal starting from the second day.
The Myanmar Wushu team won the gold medal on the last day of the competition, which was won by Thein Than Oo in the (Taolu) Nangun event.
Sandi Oo and Su Hlaing Win won silver medal each in women’s Taolu Chansu event and women’s Sanshou 60-kilo event while Cherry Than won bronze medal in the women’s Sanshou 52-kilo event.
Meanwhile, Myo Min Htet also won one bronze medal in the men’s Sanshou 70-kilo event.
With the exception of Timor-Leste, 10 Southeast Asian nations competed in the SEA Games’ Wushu sport.
The host team, Vietnam, won 10 gold medals, three silver medals and seven bronze medals in the Wushu competition and stood as first.
Myanmar was placed in the fifth place of the competition with winning one gold, two silver and two bronze medals.—Ko Nyi Lay/GLNM
