Myanmar, Bangladesh holds region commander level border coordination meeting

The bilateral meeting between Myanmar and Bangladesh is in progress.

The meeting of the region commander level border coordination between the Myanmar and Bangladesh border guards was held in Maungtaw Township, Rakhine State, yesterday.
The event was attended by the Myanmar delegation led by Police Brig-Gen Htet Lwin and the Bangladeshi delegation led by Brig-Gen Najm-Us-Sakib.
The meeting focused on the eradication of the construction site near Myanmar-Bangladesh border lines, exchange of news regarding activities of terrorists in border areas, covering news of trans-border crimes, prevention of illegal entry into Myanmar from Bangladesh by crossing border fencing, joint patrols of border guards of two countries, exchange of information in the fight against drugs, the establishment of the bilateral relation office (Maungtaw-Teknaf) and other matters including friendship games.
Then, the two border guards exchanged the presents. — MNA
