Drugs seized in Tamu and Tachilek townships

A combined team consisting of members of the Sagaing Region Police Force examined a house of Ma Kyeinnu (aka) Nyaung San Kyein in Myoma Ward of Tamu Township on 5 June at 10:30 pm and arrested Ma Kyeinnu, Ma Pan Wah and Thang Lyin Pawng with 3,000 stimulant tablets, 125 rounds of various bullets, nine grenades, seven 40mm grenades and 20 fuses.
Similarly, on 6 June at 9 am, Police Force searched a house of Ah Mu in Tachilek Township and seized 5,200 stimulant tablets, 1.4 kilogrammes of opium and 0.02 kilogramme of heroin.
The suspects were prosecuted under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law, the Myanmar Police Force stated. — MNA
