Data Analysis Training 1/2022 for conducting IT Audit opened

The opening ceremony of Data Analysis Training 1/2022 for conducting IT Audit was held at 12:30 pm on 22 June at the Assembly Hall of the Office of the Auditor-General of the Union in Nay Pyi Taw.
At the ceremony, Union Auditor-General Prof Dr Kan Zaw delivered an address, saying that this training aims to conduct the auditing applying IT because Governmental Departments and Organizations keep their large volume of monetary and accounting transactions applying IT and the time and staff are limited for the conduct of auditing manually; the auditors should understand IT and use it effectively in conducting the audit as the development in technology is improving very rapidly nowadays; therefore he urged the trainees to learn the lectures properly, retrain staff at their offices and apply in fieldworks for the development of OAG in future.
Two from the Head Office and twelve from the Auditor-General’s Offices of Bago, Yangon, and Magway Regions, totalling fourteen, will attend the training designed to be theoretical and practical from 22-6-2022 to 29-6-2022 for seven days.
The permanent secretary, the director-general of Audit Department, the deputy permanent secretary, deputy directors-general, responsible persons, trainers and trainees attended the ceremony.
Similarly, the Union Auditor-General also delivered an address at the annual general meeting of the Cooperative Credit Society Limited of the Office of the Auditor-General of the Union, held at 10 am on 22 June at the Assembly Hall of the Office of the Auditor-General of the Union. The permanent secretary, the director-general of Audit Department, the deputy permanent secretary, deputy directors-general (Audit/Admin), directors, deputy directors, responsible persons and members of the cooperative limited attended the meeting.— GNLM
