The second coordination meeting on holding the film, music and theatre variety show is in progress.

The second coordination meeting on convening the “Film, Music, Theatre variety show” was held yesterday afternoon in Yangon, and Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn attended the meeting.
At the meeting, the Union minister said he would like to organize the show according to the suggestions of the artistes. The main purpose of the event is to make the art world lively again. He said people in the art world today are facing challenges to do their work due to the threats posed by dishonest destroyers, and it will be necessary to find ways for them to carry out their work. He suggested helping the artistes who are now struggling to make a living return to their work in various ways.
By holding this variety show, it can assist the livelihood of the artistes and they will be able to resume activities, he added. The Union minister called on the attendees to discuss effective and appropriate ways to do so, adding that his ministry will provide necessary assistance.
Then, U Kyi Soe Tun, Chairman of the Myanmar Motion Picture Organization, U Myint Aung, Secretary of the Myanmar Music Association (Central), Myanmar Theatre Association Secretary U Nay Win and artistes gave suggestions on successfully holding the show.
The meeting was attended by the directors-general of the Ministry of Information, officials from the Myanmar Motion Picture Organization, the Myanmar Music Association (Central) and the Myanmar Theatre Association, artistes and invitees. — MNA
