Myawady District Livestock and Veterinary Department of Myawady Township held a demonstration planting Napier grass on the land of U Ne Win Oo, a cattle farmer in Wae Shan village on 24 June.
At the exhibition, Dr Min Win Aung, Township Director of the Livestock and Veterinary Department, said that the livestock system will be developed by farmers by cultivating plants for feedstuffs.
“By growing grasses with high nutritional value, animals will have a higher growth rate and better productivity. Reducing costs for feedstuffs will also help farmers develop better fodder practices and develop livestock breeding,” he elaborated.
