Maj-Gen Zaw Min Tun, leader of the SAC’s Information Team at the 17th press conference, said that the demand for fuel oil could be met regularly due to the stockpiling of the State reserve fuel.
In some areas, there may be temporary imbalances in supply and demand, but the necessary arrangements are being made between importers and retailers over time to alleviate these problems.
An OSS team has been set up at the Thilawa depot, which specializes in petrol retail outlets,” said Maj-Gen Zaw Min Tun.
As of June, about 17 vessels carrying various types of fuel oil arrived, and a sufficient amount of fuel was stored in the country. The systematic scrutiny of fuel oil imports has already allowed ensuring sufficiency, and the State was balancing the entire fuel distribution chain, he added.
A 10-member distribution supervision committee was formed with the supervision of the Ministry of Commerce to effectively manage the entire distribution sector of fuel oil storage.
