Shwedagon Pagoda to host religious ceremonies on every Sabbath day

Yangon’s Shwedagon Pagoda will hold ritual receptions for the public who want to practise fasting virtues on every Sabbath during the Buddhist Lent.
On the fasting days of the Lent, Shwedagon Pagoda Board of Trustees will donate foodstuffs to the devotees and members of the Sangha.
Therefore, the trustees have invited any Buddhists to Shwedagon Pagoda on the fasting days during the Lent, take religious vows, and observe fasting.
On 12 July, on the full moon day of Vasa, people offered foods to the pagoda dedicating to the Lord Buddha at dawn, donated robes to the four Buddha images on the platform of the pagoda.
It is known that religious associations recited the Dhammacakka Sutta and donated offerings.—TWA/GNLM
