The State has adequate foreign currency reserves and reserved funds: Maj-Gen Zaw Min Tun

Maj-Gen Zaw Min Tun, Leader of the Information Team of the State Administration Council, said at the 18th Press Conference that the State has adequate foreign currency reserves and reserved funds.
“Since the State has sufficient funds, civil servants will be provided with eight per cent more of the original salary to the married employees and four per cent more to single employees, under the decision of the economic committee meeting chaired by the Prime Minister, which was held on 22 July,” the Maj-Gen said.
In addition, policemen will be entitled to receive K10,000 more from August for working hard, he said. Also, plans are underway to lend K400 billion from the balance of the National Disaster Management Fund, to local businesses, the SAC’s Information Team leader elaborated. — TWA/GNLM
