Myanmar lose to China with two late penalties in Asian U-20 Qualifiers opener

Myanmar U-20 faced a shock loss to China U-20 team 1-3 with two late penalties in the Group A opener of the Asian U-20 Qualifiers at the Prince Saud bin Jalawi Stadium in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia at 1 am Myanmar Standard Time on 11 September.
In the first half, the score was tied at 1-1, but in the extra time of 90 + 3 and 90 + 5 minutes of the second half, the Myanmar team gave two consecutive penalties to the Chinese team, and the Chinese team won.
In the earlier Group (A) match between the Maldives and Uzbekistan, Uzbekistan team won with a goal of 7-0.
In the Asian U-20 Championship qualifying match, the Myanmar team will play against Uzbekistan on 12 September, Saudi Arabia on 16 September and the Maldives on 18 September respectively.—GNLM
