MoBA Union Minister meets UNHCR’s Director of Asia-Pacific Regional Bureau

The UNHCR Asia-Pacific Regional Bureau Director calls on the MoBA Union Minister in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
Union Minister for Border Affairs Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung met Director of the Regional Bureau for Asia and the Pacific of UNHCR Mr. Indrika Ratwatte in the meeting hall of the ministry at 2 pm on 19 September.
In the meeting, both parties discussed the development, pace and stability of border areas in Myanmar, steps being taken for the development of socioeconomic lives and human resources for ethnic people living in border areas, preparations being done to re-admit and resettle displaced persons from Rakhine State and plans to be implemented in the future from the National-level committee on resettlement and closure of temporary camps.
The meeting was also attended by Deputy Minister Maj-Gen Phyo Thant, the permanent secretary, the director-general and officials. — MNA
