Rakhine State govt provides cash assistance, household items to locals returning to their homes from IDP camps

The handover ceremony of cash assistance and commodities to the internally displaced persons from seven villages of five village tracts who temporarily shelter at IDP camps in Myaybon Township of Rakhine State was held at the township administrative department yesterday.
During the ceremony, Station Commander Colonel Myo Nyunt Oo presented K96 million provided by the Rakhine State government for 192 households while township administrator U Khine Lin Naing gave K19.2 million provided by Natural Disaster Management Department for 192 households, township administration member 1 Major Ye Kyaw Aung handed over K6,876,000 for rice donated by Natural Disaster Management Department and township Natural Disaster Management Department head U Kyaw Kyaw Win transferred 192 family kits containing 17 types of commodities to the respective representatives of IDPs.
Then, Station Commander Colonel Myo Nyunt Oo and officials comforted the IDPs. The members of Tatmadaw, Myanmar Police Force, Red Cross Society and departmental staff took them to their homes by vehicles and boats. — Tin Win (IPRD)/KTZH
