138 Myanmar citizens repatriated from Thailand

Examination process is underway for those who are repatriated from Thailand.

A total of 138 Myanmar citizens who had been detained at the Immigration Detention Centre (IDC) in Bangkok, Thailand, were repatriated via the Myanmar-Thailand Friendship Bridge in Mae Sot on 2 March, according to Myanmar Embassy in Bangkok. The ceremony to hand over Myanmar citizens was attended by U Maw Bala, Minister Counsellor of the Myanmar Embassy in Bangkok, U Hla Myo Than, Labour Attaché (Mae Sot) and Col Borwornphop Soontornlekha, Superintendent of Immigration Division, the deputy administrator of the Myawady District Administration Body and the assistant director of the Myawady Township Immigration and National Registration Department. — TWA/MKKS
