Myanmar team wins its debut in Asian Cup U-20 Women’s Qualifiers

The first day of the 2024 Asian Cup U-20 Women’s Qualifiers Group (G) began in Cambodia on 8 March, and team Myanmar won its debut.
Myanmar squad started the game against the host Cambodia team and won by 2-0. The Myanmar team struggled to win as there were no goals in the first half, but they won with goals in the second half.
As the Myanmar team won this match, they are in a good shape to advance to the second round qualifiers and will have to play a decisive group match against the Malaysian team.
Team Myanmar lined up with youth players including goalie May Khin Oo, Hnin Pwint Aye, Khin Aye Kyaing, May Thet Mon Myint, Nang Cho Hmwe, Phyu Phyu Win, Wai Phoo Eain, Zin Moe Pyae, Kyal Sin, and Yu Ya Naing.
The Myanmar team, which did not score in the first half, scored the opening goal in the 49th minute, and Sandar Lin did.
After scoring the goal, team Myanmar was able to control the game, and Wai Hnin Phyo scored the second goal in the 64th minute.
The Myanmar team will play against the Malaysian team on 12 March as the final group game. — Ko Nyi Lay/KZL
