Grade-8 passers allowed to attend Performing, Painting, and Sculpture courses in art high schools

The Department of Fine Arts of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture announced that those who have passed the eighth grade can attend the Performing, Painting, and Sculpture courses in Yangon and Mandalay art high schools.
New trainees will be recruited for the 2023-2024 academic year (first year) including Performing, Painting, and Sculpture courses.
Applicants between the ages of 13 and 17 must have passed the grade eighth and completed any of the basic subjects of the relevant course.
The announcement states that students will have to attend the courses for 3 years and will have a certificate of completion.
During the period of study, they will be provided K30,000 per month of stipends, according to the announcement.
Those who take courses in literature and arts will have the opportunity to learn basic education in addition to arts subjects. Details can be enquired at the Department of Fine Arts and applications can be submitted until the last week of May 2023. —TWA/KZL
