Residents of coastal villages in Taungup evacuated to temporary shelters

Foodstuffs and essential items are provided to evacuees in Taungup.

People from coastal villages in Taungup Township in Rakhine State arrived at temporary shelters yesterday morning.
People from Pantin Island, Phaungkha, Khaunglaungtu, Kularyaung, Gyipyin, Nyaungpinsait, Natkan and Pyingyi villages were accommodated at schools and monasteries in Taungup Township.
Authorities are providing foodstuffs, water and medicines with emergency healthcare to locals. — Township IPRD/KZW
