Tatmadaw (Air) continues transporting foodstuffs, relief items to Rakhine State

Relief goods are loaded aboard the Tatmadaw aircraft to deliver them to Mocha-hit areas yesterday.

The relief aid and food items contributed by the families of Tatmadaw (Army, Navy and Air) and well-wishers, and relief supplies provided by the National Disaster Management Committee for local communities affected by Cyclone Mocha in Rakhine State are being transported by Tatmadaw aircraft and helicopters.
A total of 3.16 tonnes of school materials and relief supplies donated by the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Cooperative and Rural Development were delivered from Nay Pyi Taw Airport to Sittway Airport by a plane of Tatmadaw (Air).
A total of 3,170 Tatmadaw members and departmental staff who will help in rehabilitation work and 473.7 tonnes of supplies were helicoptered to the storm-battered areas.
Officials in the respective areas received relief items and will distribute them to storm victims. — MNA/KZW
