The No 5 Up express train with 389 passengers stopped at Bago station at 7 pm, followed by the No 3 Up express train with 328 passengers at 7:50 pm. Myanma Railways, Railway Police, and local authorities ensured passenger safety and comfort.

Adjusted schedules and transfers were arranged for affected passengers.
Pending railway safety assurance plans to resume remaining passenger trains were in place, as stated by the Ministry of Transport and Communications. By 6:30 pm on the incident day, floodwaters receded, allowing the restoration of normal train operations. — MNA/KZW
