Tazaungdine lighting festival at Maravijaya Buddha Image extends to three days

Pilgrims flock to the Maravijaya Buddha Image in Nay Pyi Taw.

The Tazaungdine lighting festival is scheduled to take place from 25 to 27 November at the Maravijaya Buddha Image in Dekkhinathiri township of Nay Pyi Taw Union Territory.
The festival will feature the offering of 9,000 candles, recitation of Maha Pathana Pali verses, display of fireworks, and the launch of hot-air balloons.
Additionally, the Buddha Park will be adorned with LED lights, and products from local Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) including foodstuffs and consumer goods will be showcased and available for purchase. — TWA/MKKS
