Light offering held at Uppatasanti Pagoda, Maravijaya Buddha Image

Staff from various ministries and students totalling 1,080 participated in the light offering ceremonies, held inside the compound of the Uppatasanti Pagoda and the Buddha Park of the Maravijaya Buddha Image in Nay Pyi Taw on the Kason Full Moon Day (Buddha Day) of 1386 ME yesterday evening.
Thanks to the vehicles decorated with Buddha images, students and staff paid homage to the Uppatasanti Pagoda with a clockwise procession.
They went to the Maravijaya Buddha Image Park with the decorated floats. The decorated floats parked inside the Buddha Park of the Maravijaya Buddha Image for pilgrims to worship.
Students and staff then paid homage to the Maravijaya Buddha Image with religious flags and candles.
Afterwards, the departmental staff and students poured the Bo tree near the Maravijaya Buddha image and attended the Kason Full Moon Day Dhamma Event held in the Buddha Park of the Maravijaya Buddha Image and listened to the sermon given by Sitagu Sayadaw Dr Bhaddanta Nyanissara. — MNA/KZL
