During inspections on 19 and 20 December, the combined teams captured a Heinsoe (7) boat (approximately K183.26 million) and a Heinsoe (9) boat (estimated value of K211.85 million) in Twantay Canal and 8,907 gallons of illegal fuel worth K27.115 million in Hmawby township. These actions were taken under the Myanmar Inland Vessel Law and the Petroleum and Petroleum Products Law.
The on-duty team supervised by Magway Region Illegal Trade Eradication Task Force seized 0.5774 tonne of illegal timbers worth K29,738 in Pwintbyu township, 1.025 tonnes of illegal timbers worth K441,262 in Mindon township, three Nissan Diesel bowsers, two Nissan Diesel trucks and a Toyota Surf (approximately worth K262 million) carrying 2,600 gallons of illegal crude oil worth K10.4 million and 12,920 gallons of illegal diesel worth K77.52 million in Yesakyo township on 20 December. These actions were conducted under the Forest Law and the Petroleum and Petroleum Products Law.
On 21 December, the combined team confiscated 3,000 gallons of illegal petrol worth K41.4 million at the combined checkpoint in front of the University of Computer Studies in Kalay township. The action was conducted under the Petroleum and Petroleum Products Law.
Six arrests were made on three consecutive days from 19 to 21 December, with an estimated value of K892,932,020, as reported by the Illegal Trade Eradication Steering Committee. — MNA/MKKS
