70-year-old woman wins K500M grand prize in Aungbarlay’s first automated draw

At the opening of Aungbarlay Lottery, which switched to an internationally used machine system for the first time, a 70-year-old woman from Magway Region won a K500 million grand prize.
The winning lottery number is Ga-716444 won by the old woman. In place of picking winning alphabets and number balls from wooden barrels by humans, an air blow digital machine was used for the first at the opening of the 59th Aungbarlay Lottery on 1 February.
The old woman, a native of Chauk township in Magway Region, bought two lottery tickets from Hein Dana lottery shop, and won the highest grand prize, said a person from Hein Dana lottery shop.
“K500 million prize is included in the prizes our customers won this week. Other prizes include K50,000 prize and K100,000 prize. The winner is an old woman from Chauk township,” he said.
The lottery shop announced the old woman won the prize on its Facebook page and internet users made cheerful comments for the winner. — MT/ZS/ED
