Weekly 5-night 6-day trip to Mt Hponkanrazi arranged amidst icy caps still enjoyable for nearly 3 months

There are two months left for the opportunity to enjoy dense snow caps by climbing the snow-capped Mount Hponkanrazi, and they will organize a weekly 5-night 6-day trip from PutaO, according to an official from the Trekking in Myanmar.
The snow melts from the end of April or early May and the frost season starts in November, so there are two or three months left to climb the ice-capped mountain, he said.
“Most people come from Yangon to climb here. Some are from Mandalay,” he added.
People can come to PutaO by Yangon-Mandalay-Myitkyina-PutaO flight on Saturday and continue by motorbike to Ziyadam village. On the way back, they will have to travel by motorbike from Ziyadam village to PutaO and then take the same flight on Friday.
Those wishing to climb can book two or, three weeks or a month in advance and a package tour of PutaO-Hponkanrazi-PutaO for 5 nights and 6 days will cost K 1.2 million per person including K 300,000 as an advance payment.
If a climber who has booked and made the advance payment fails to climb before the trip, he/she may join the other batches of the same trip. —
