Buddha Pujaniya festival of Zalun Pyitawpyan Pagoda to start on 18 March

The Buddha Pujaniya festival will take place at the Zalun Pyitawpyan Pagoda for eight days, from 18 to 25 March 2024, featuring festivities and ceremonies to pay reverence the Buddha, Dhamma, and Sangha, as stated by U Khin Maung Oo, a member of the Zalun Pyitawpyan Pagoda Board of Trustees.

“The Zalun Pyitawpyan Pagoda’s Buddha Pujaniya festival spans from the 9th waxing day to the 1st waning day of Taboung. During the festival, we will offer food to the Buddha and provide provisions to members of the Sangha. Additionally, sermon-preaching ceremonies will be held,” explained U Khin Maung Oo. — ASH/MKKS
