Mandalay experiences 35 fires in two-month period

A fire occurred on 59 street in Kanthaya ward, Chanmyathazi Township.

According to the Myanmar Fire Service Department, there have been 35 fires in Mandalay over the past two months.
From January to 7 March of this year, there were 35 fires in Mandalay, resulting in five deaths and injuries, according to statistics.
On 2 March at around 05:10 am, a fire broke out in a room of a house in Kanthaya Ward in Chanmyathazi Township, Mandalay Region. The fire was caused by a phone that was being charged and exploded, igniting the fire. It was extinguished by ten fire engines and five water tenders, and it was completely put out by 5:37 am.
The fire destroyed three houses, and a 14-year-old girl died due to smoke inhalation. — TWA/TKO
